We're Here to Help

The Iron County Mental Health Coalition seeks to educate, empower, and champion our county residents with the tools they need to access mental health treatment.
Cedar City, Utah is home to dozens of qualified and caring professionals in the mental health field. The Mental Health Professionals Group was developed to promote collaboration, provide free and low-cost continuing education opportunities, and increase awareness of community resources. The group is open to all who work in the field of mental and emotional health in Southern Utah. There is no fee to join and no dues to pay. Each year we elect a chairperson and board members who ensure quality presentations, maintain records and keep the group on track.
This year’s chairman is Tyler Goddard, LCSW.
Meets the third Tuesday of each month from 11:30am to 1:00pm (check the Events Calendar for presenter, topic and location). We take turns presenting or bring in special guests (This training is approved for 1.5 CEUs – continuing education units – by NASW).
The atmosphere is casual, friendly and allows for networking and collaboration. Keep abreast of local resources, events and issues. Come early, grab lunch (brown bag) and get to know each other!
We maintain a list of qualified providers in the area who can help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, there is hope and help for you to recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. A qualified provider can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples or families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection or repair a relationship.
